Welcome
Jersey Indoor Bowling Association started in 1978 at The Fort Regent Sports Complex. In November 1991 our present stadium was built.

We are a private members club and we are affiliated to the English Indoor Bowling Association & British Isles Woman’s Indoor Bowls.

Members enjoy the opportunity to play competitively and socially. Our ages range from ‘tint tots’ of 4 years to 92 years. We work with remedial and disability groups and offer them bowling on a Wednesday morning.

There are three free starter sessions with all equipment provided and a qualified coach in attendance.

All ages are encouraged to take part in stadium leagues and knockouts, British Isles qualifiers and Channel Island knockouts where yearly we compete against Guernsey.

We need the pennies

Want rid of 2p and 1p coins? —drop them in the box at the bar.—proceeds to carpet fund. Remember pennies make pounds!! We need the pennies!!!

USAGE OF ‘GRIPPO’ OR SIMILAR

Unfortunately the use of ‘grippo’ or similar leave a residue on the carpet and therefore, damages it. Despite notices in the changing rooms and on the doors some members continue to use these products.
Please respect the rules of the stadium and no longer use these.

DEVELOPMENT OF BOWLS

Bring a relative or friend to try bowling. They can have 3 goes free which can include any of the coaching sessions on a Thursday at 4pm and Sunday at 11.30 am.
All ages welcome. No booking required, however, it is best to confirm that there are free rinks.
These trials are proving successful and again, thanks to all those members who have brought friends and relatives along.

SCHOOLS UPDATE

Our schools programme is going well. It is hard to get the schools in and even harder to get help, so to all those who helped last year...My sincere thanks, it is appreciated.
The schools have advised us that they will return again this term and the Junior schools are interested in an inter schools competition. We have a sponsor for this event and confirmation from Channel TV that they will do a ‘piece’ on it.
If you are free to help on a Monday, Thursday or Friday between 1.30 and 2.30 it would be appreciated. And Wed between 11-12.

Mobile Phones

Complaints have been received regarding mobile phones both on and off the green.
Mobile phones are NOT permitted on the green and should be put on ‘SILENT’ whilst in the stadium.
